What is a Signature Session?
This session usually lasts 60 minutes and will allow us to get creative and include larger families! Included in this session is a disk of 15-20 low-resolution images and a password protected online proofing and ordering gallery. The low-resolution images are great for photo cards and internet sharing.
What is a Mini-Session?
This session lasts about 30 minutes. Included in this session is a password protected online proofing and ordering gallery. Digital downloads may be purchased from this gallery.
What is included in a Senior Session?
Two locations and multiple clothing changes. This session lasts 60-90 minutes. Included in this session will be a set of 6-8 proofs and a password protected online proofing and ordering gallery. To have access to all high-resolution images there is an extra fee.
Where will the Session take place?
I shoot on location. We can meet at a park, your house, my house, downtown Grand Rapids or any place within 10 miles of Grand Rapids! I do have a small home studio that is perfect for small children, newborns and headshots. At the home of a newborn is a great option as well so Mom does not have to leave the house.
What time of day do you typically have your session?
I like to use natural light, so early evening is great light for outdoors. If inside I like mid morning. For children it is when they are at their best and I can adjust! Happy people are more important than light!
When should I schedule my Newborn Session?
The best time to photogrpah a Newborn is within the first 10-15 days. Scheduling before the baby is born is best, but anytime within the first two weeks is fine. Parents or other loved ones should be prepared to be in the photos. Wearing a long sleeve black shirt will help use arms for some newborn poses.
What should we wear?
My first rule in clothing is to be comfortable! My second rule is to be you! The rest is up to you! Fun colors are always great! Just avoid wearing anything with logos or words on them. Bring hats, scarves, wear jewelry anything that says YOU! Many famiies like to coordinate one item or color among all members. Like all in jeans with different bright colored shirts or all in white shirts with khaki bottoms. . .but again, be comfortable and be you!
When will my images be ready?
In general, it takes a week to have your images ready for viewing and two weeks before any print product arrives.
What is the difference between low-resolution and high-resolution images?
Low-resolution images are great for photo cards and internet sharing. They will be fine to print at a 4 X 6 size. However, I cannot assure the same quality as high-resolution or prints ordered directly from me. High-resoltuion images are the original digital images that you may have printed up to 11 X 14 wherever you wish. You may purchase your entire session of high-resolution digital downloads for $100 or purchase individual images for $10.
